Letting go…

Letting go was and is the hardest lesson for me to learn. I’m so passionate about everything I do in my life, letting go just isn’t something I enjoy doing. Have you ever had to let go of something you kept holding onto? Was it so hard to do that your chest felt like it was going to explode? Did you tear up every time you thought about it? One of my favorite quotes about letting go says learning to let go should be learned before learning to get. Isn’t that the truth? Some people never let go and never experience the peace that follows the process. By letting go you allow everything to find it’s rightful place. Once free, everything finds it’s way home.

I’m not afraid to tell you why I’m still single. Most of the time I get the how are you still single line. The truth is, I’m not afraid to tell you because I know I am not the only person out there that has held onto someone too long. If I can help someone relate to what I’ve experienced and learned from holding on too long and not letting go soon enough, i’m all for it. Working on yourself is one of the most important things you can do, that many won’t do. How can you be good for someone else if your not ok with yourself. I urge you to take a look at your highest value and often times you will find that’s the value you look for in other people. I want you to get super clear on your values, your self-worth and be true to yourself. I want you to guard your heart with everything you have, so that the person you are meant to share the key with is the right person that won’t abuse that honor.

Holding onto something too long that you know it’s for you, is unhealthy. I talk about serious health conditions all the time but sometimes emotional health stressors turn into more complex health conditions left overlooked.

Are there people, things, beliefs that you are holding onto that is affecting your life in detrimental ways? If so, you might be causing major stressors to your heart in unhealthy increments. Panic attacks, anxiety, and worry can spike your blood pressure and create elevated hormone levels in your system that creates your body to run high on adrenaline 24/7. This is an unhealthy state to be in. Our body should never stay in a fight or flight response, this wrecks havoc on your nerve system. Making sure your nerve system is checked is key to ensuring you to get through these trials in the most healthy state possible.
