Guess what my 89 year old grandma did…

She did a BURPEE!

If you have never heard of a burpee it is a gymnastics movement in Crossfit that requires you to start from a standing position drop to the floor do a push-up then stand back up and jump with your hands above your head! She is 89 years old and she still has it. She is an inspiration to me and many in her community. She is my light and my role-model. I’ve never met anyone so giving in my life. She is selfless and is always willing to help another person out. When my mom passed away when I was 16 years old, that day my grandma lost her daughter. She stood strong, and I give a big part of why I have stayed strong to her. I thought I would share this video of her doing a burpee so you can perhaps be encouraged to start doing burpees yourself. If an 89 year old can stay fit, what’s your excuse? It’s time to GET MOVIN’ especially before the temptations of the holidays start, they are right around the corner.
